Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to a new year at East-West School of International Studies.
At East-West, we strive to provide our students with an optimal learning environment, consisting of a rigorous academic program of developing proficiency in English, math and science, the aptitude to employ available technology, and a fundamental comprehension of Asian cultures and languages, where students prepare for entrances to colleges. And we strongly believe in rooting the school and its education endeavor in the community.
Parents are our most important partner. Your support, involvement and guidance are critical in the success of preparing your child for college. At the same time, we will do our best to assist you and your family in areas that matter in your child’s learning.
Our school web site which you are browsing now contains important announcement of policies and events as well as first-hand coverage of much of what goes on in school,. It is informative and useful. I recommended that you visit the site every now and then to be in the know of what is happening in addition to the back-packed materials brought home by your child.
East-West School requires uniforms in school for its students. We have retained two companies to provide the right and affordable uniforms for your child. Their price lists are shown below for your easy review.
As we are entering the second decade of the twenty-first century, communication among us is more than ever technology oriented. East-West utilizes School Messenger to send phone-blast to your homes for important and timely messages. E-mailing is becoming the standard way for us to talk and exchange. We will need updated email address from each of you. For those of you who have not had a chance to establish an email account, I could help you on that. Available sizes on the above items are youth medium, youth large, youth extra-large, adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult extra-large, adult xx-large and adult xxx-large.
Please complete your child’s information on the appropriate form (pink for girls and blue for boys) which will be available at the orientations. Sizes will be entered by the Scholastic representatives as each child is measured. They will also total your order for you. You will receive a yellow copy of the form as a receipt.
A $25.00 deposit is required at the time of measurement. Checks should made payable to Scholastic Uniforms. Payment in full at the time of measurement will speed up delivery of your order. Visa and 0MasterCard are gladly accepted. You will be billed for the balance due. Please mail your payment directly to the company by July 15th to ensure delivery for school opening. You may also pay your balance by telephone at 973-643-9300 with Visa or MasterCard. Your child’s package will be shipped to you via UPS during the summer. Please try the items on right away in the event an exchange must be made.
