Dear Menfolk,
Father's Day is the closest we come to celebrating not only fathers, but ourselves as men.
Biological father or not, on this Father's Day, we celebrate our role in the lives of our children.
I thank you for giving so much to the children of our school, and for being a surrogate "father" to those children in our school, especially our boys, who do not have fathers in their lives. The way you choose to spend your time with them, and the tough love, understanding, and constant re-negotiation of boundaries that you give them each day contributes to the stability they find in their lives while at East-West. We men help make a difference.
And, while our children at school are important, let's continue to strive for that impossible balance of work time and family time.
Fatherly Yours,
Ben Sherman
Principal
