Overview: Staff members can create a photo album on the site. Each of your albums can contain sub-albums, if you like. All albums can be accessed from the menu for logged in users. All album content can be marked to be accessible only to staff, to staff and students, or to the whole web. It is recommended that "staff and students only" be the default, to protect student privacy from non-ewsis visitors.
Here's how to add an album:
1. Select the link "add to or create a new photo album"
2. Give the album a title.
3. Under categories, "Who may view this post?" select the audience. Again, it is recommended that "staff and students only" be the default, to protect student privacy from non-ewsis visitors.
4. If you already have an album, you may select the "Parent album" which enables you to have albums nested inside another album. For example "Mr. Shmo's Albums" could be the parent album to albums called "Fall Field Trip" and "Science Lab Photos."
5. When all is as it should be, click submit.
Now that your album has been created, here's how to add individual photos to it:
1. Again, select the link "add to or create a new photo album"
2. Now click the tab "Acidfree photo"
3. If you have multiple albums, you will have a choice of which albums to place the photo into. Select the album(s) you want the photo to appear in.
3. Give the photo a title, a viewership, and a description (optional).
4. Click "Browse" and find the photo file on your local machine.
5. Click "Submit." The photo should now be in your album.
To add multiple photos at a time, explore the "Mass import" tab when you have clicked "add to or create a new photo album" You may upload up to 5 photos or 8MB at a time. Alternatively, a site admin can upload your photos using FTP and import them from their folder on the server. This last option is the fastest if you have a large batch of photos.
