Hello, this is the East West School of International Studies, calling to inform you that some of our 12th grade students will be taking the foreign language Regents exam tomorrow, June 22nd. Since the regents exam will be in the afternoon, our P T A has generously arranged for a light snack for these students after the test, as well as a bus to transport them directly to the Queens High School of Teaching for Graduation. If a student brings in their cap and gown, they must arrive 15 minutes before the regents exam starts and leave them in Mr. Marini’s room. Students can pick up their caps and gowns immediately following the regents exam and enjoy a light snack until the bus leaves. The bus will leave promptly at 4:15pm. Hello, this is East West School of International Studies, calling to invite you to attend this year’s Cultural Night, on Wednesday, June 9, from 6:30pm to 9pm.
This year-end event will showcase what students have learned in school during the year. It will be an evening of celebration.
On-stage performances will feature Korean Drum, Fashion Show, Judo, Japanese Exercise, Peking Opera, Break Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Poetry Reading, School Choir, and more.
The hallway outside the auditorium will display students’ finest works, in writing and in art form. In the gymnasium, there will be the International Food Fair with over forty delicious dishes prepared by some of you.
Please come to the Cultural Night to support your children and our school. We look forward to seeing you.

Hello, this is East West School of International Studies, calling to remind you to take the parent survey before deadline on April 23.
Right before the Recess, your child brought home a green envelope with the Parent Survey inside. This Survey invites you to speak up about your ideas of what needs to be done to improve our school. Voicing your concerns and getting them to the Department of Education are vital to the continued growth and advancement of East-West.
You can take the survey online or send it back in the mail. All instruction is inside the envelope. Just remember to complete the process by April 23.

Spring semester Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place Thursday evening, March 18, from five thirty pm to eight pm, and Friday afternoon, March 19, from twelve pm to two twenty pm. On Friday, students dismissal time will be eleven am.
You will meet your child's teachers in one-on-one conferences. They will inform you of how your child is doing in different academic areas.
Please be sure to meet with your child's academy teacher to review and sign off on goals set for your child.
We also encourage you to bring your child to the conferences.

Hello, this is the east west school of international studies, calling to inform you that this summer, "Reach for Tomorrow", is extending an invitation to our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students, to participate in their summer camp from August 24th through August 28th. Students will learn science and math from a hands on perspective. Learning to co-pilot planes, sail a 40 foot boat, and participate on trips. The cost of this camp is $100.00 which includes meals and lodging at the U S Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Maryland. there is a separate transportation fee of $50.00 plus a $25.00 fee for uniform t-shirts.
