Welcome to Regents English!

As we spend approximately 45 minutes together each day, we will be continuing to develp and hone our English reading, writiing, listening and speaking skills. I fully understand that this is your most important year in high school, and I will try to do everything possible to help you accomplish your individual goals.  It is imperative that you come to class prepared (notebook, writing utensil, independent reading book, any assigned readings) and with an open mind. 

To alleviate your stress level at the end of the year with Regents and SATs, you will take the English Regents in January.  As long as you pay attention in class, complete your assignments and tasks, both in class and at home, you will succeed in January.  Remember, you must score above a 75 on the English Regents to place out of remedial English classes at many New York State and City colleges and universities.  You can, and you will accomplish this if you focus and work dilligently.
