I am the high school guidance counselor, focusing on grades 9 through 12. In the 9th grade, we deal with transitional issues from middle school to high school, such as understanding credits, regents, and the high school courses. In the 10th and 11th grade levels, we begin the actual process of college preparation. We go on college trips, locally and in other states, as well as understanding the importance of community service and completing graduation requirements. All students and parents are encouraged to meet with me on an individual basis to discuss their personal portfolio. The 12th graders go through the college application process through me, working with deadlines and completing the applications and essays.
