Dear East-West Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
You are cordially invited to our next PTA meeting which will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM. We will start with a delicious breakfast buffet in honor of Mother’s Day and we will have some special giveaways for our mothers in attendance. We will also be holding a special fundraising raffle for a beautiful Mother’s Day gift basket with a variety of items to pamper a special mom; total retail value of basket is approximately $1000. Raffle tickets are on sale for $20 each. Drawing will take place at the end of our PTA Meeting. You do not need to be present to win.
The business portion of the meeting will offer information useful to parents from the PTA and the school. We will be holding nominations for our Annual PTA Executive Board Elections. We are still looking for parents interested in joining the PTA Executive Board and the School Leadership Team for the 2015-2016 school year. Attached is a brief description of each position and their responsibilities. Please come and let your voice be heard! If you are interested in getting involved or would like more information, please contact Ms. Tijuan Harris, Nominations Committee Chairperson, at pta@ewsis.org or Ms. Margarita Torres, Parent Coordinator at mtorres@ewsis.org. The Annual PTA Executive Board Elections will take place at our final PTA meeting of this school year on June 6, 2015.
The meeting will also include reports from our Principal, Mr. Sherman and our Assistant Principals, Mr. Chang and Mr. Kleiman.
And finally, we always allow plenty of time for a question and answer period so that the concerns of our parents can be addressed by the school administration.
