    At this important informational meeting Principal Sherman will be sharing an overview of our school’s Title 1 program which is one component of our Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP).

    We will also take a vote whether to form a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) or to have the PTA oversee the 1% budgeted for Parent Involvement from Title 1 funds.

    Let your voice be heard and come cast your vote.  We welcome more parent involvement in our school, and your feedback will greatly help our school community.

  • 8th Grade High School Application Workshop

    Dear East-West Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

    Following our first PTA Meeting for this school year, there will be a workshop on the High School Application process by Mr. Diaz, our Middle School Guidance Counselor. All eighth grade parents are encouraged to attend.

  • Color War 2015

    Good Evening, This is the East-West school calling with an exciting announcement.

    East- West student government is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2015 Color War on Thursday, October 1st.  The event will run the entire school day, so students do not need their book bags, but must carry their ID cards.  Each grade has been assigned a color to wear for the event; some may even wish to apply face paint to show more spirit, of course with parental permission. The day will begin in the auditorium before students are escorted to Kissena Park, located at the corner of Colden and Oak. There, students will participate in a variety of athletic activities. We are asking all students to bring their own lunch, water, and any snacks. We will return to the school by 2:15 for dismissal.  We look forward to an exciting and spirited day and welcome parents to the field to cheer on the students. Go East-west. Estudiantes de  gobierno de East-West, está orgulloso de anunciar que seremos los anfitriones de la guerra de Color 2015 el jueves, 1 de octubre. El evento se ejecutará todo el día. Los estudiantes no necesitan sus maletas, pero deben llevar sus tarjetas de identificación. Cada una de las categorías se le ha asignado un color a desgaste para el evento, y algunos pueden incluso el deseo de aplicar pintura facial para mostrar más espíritu, por supuesto con permiso de los padres. La jornada comenzará en el auditorio antes de que los estudiantes sean escoltados hasta Kissena Park, en la esquina de Colden y Oak.
