Dear Families,
Your child has registered for the specialized high school exam. The exam will be on Wednesday, January 27 at our East-West school building. Students who take the exam are excused from their regular classes on Wednesday.
Students should arrive between 7:15 AM and 7:30 AM. Students should use the Main Lobby Entrance to enter the building. The exam directions will begin at 7:45 AM.
Students will receive a paper invitation when they arrive on Wednesday. Students should bring their student ID, two pencils, and an eraser. No calculators are allowed. All electronic devices will be collected on the 4th floor and returned to students upon dismissal.
The exam is 3 hours for general education students. Students who receive extended time may work for up to 6 hours. All students must stay for the first 3 hours of the exam; no students will be released before approximately 11:15 AM.
All students must wear a mask that covers their face and mouth while they are in the school building. All students will be required to complete a health screening on paper at the school or on their smart phone. The health screening may be done on Wednesday morning prior to arrival by Smartphone at https://healthscreening.schools.nyc/
Students will be allowed to pick up a bagged lunch before leaving the building at the end of their exam. Students who receive extended time may take a break and eat during their break.
Students will receive an email containing their testing room number on Monday, January 25. This message is also being sent by email to all students who registered and their parents.

Su hijo(a) se ha inscrito para el examen especializado de la escuela secundaria. El examen será el miércoles, 27 de enero, en nuestro edificio escolar East-West. Los estudiantes que rinden el examen son excusados de sus clases regulares el miércoles.
