  • On Thursday, November 20th, Dr. Sherman arraigned for his Marine Science class and Ms. Markinson's Calculus class to be visited by Professor Petter Kolm from the Courant Institute of Mathematics, of NYU.
     
    Ms. Markinson Ms. Markinson's Calculus class learning about multiple facets of applied mathematics in everyday life.

    Professor Kolm has a PhD in Mathematics from Yale University. He has written many books and papers. He is director of the Mathematics in Finance Masters Degree Program at NYU.

    He spoke eloquently to the classes about how important Mathematics is in every aspect of life.

  • In an effort to draw attention to the situation in Ferguson, Missouri where the grand jury decided not to indict a police officer who shot and killed an unarmed teenager this summer, our Jr. NAACP students led a moment of silence at Muster.
