IMG_4827 Ms. Pechersky reports: From Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center – EWSIS students sing in Yiddish! The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF — the last word in the title means “People’s Stage”) is the longest continuously-producing Yiddish theatre in the world and the oldest continuously-producing performing arts institution in the USA.

IMG_4911 Our student government hosted an exciting and much anticipated Staff vs Staff Dodgeball game. IMG_4856 Staff and students filled the gymnasium to witness which team will be victorious.

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016

All 11th grade students will take the SAT for FREE

at East-West during the school day.

All 10th graders will take the PSAT for FREE on that day.

On February 25, 2016, we welcome Rachel's Challenge to our school to promote tolerance and respect for all.  The entire day will be dedicated to recognizing and ending bullying, promoting acceptance of others, recognizing the importance of simple acts of kindness, and so much more.  This will take place throughout the school day and at 6:00 pm we will be welcoming families and members of the community to watch the presentation.

Around this time in Korea, every household prepares for winter.  One of the major preparations for winter is having Kimjang or kimchi-making event.
