Ms. Pechersky reports: From Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center – EWSIS students sing in Yiddish! The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF — the last word in the title means “People’s Stage”) is the longest continuously-producing Yiddish theatre in the world and the oldest continuously-producing performing arts institution in the USA.
Our student government hosted an exciting and much anticipated Staff vs Staff Dodgeball game. 
Staff and students filled the gymnasium to witness which team will be victorious.

Many thanks to our East-West students for volunteering to shovel snow for the seniors in our community.
On February 25, 2016, we welcome Rachel's Challenge to our school to promote tolerance and respect for all. The entire day will be dedicated to recognizing and ending bullying, promoting acceptance of others, recognizing the importance of simple acts of kindness, and so much more. This will take place throughout the school day and at 6:00 pm we will be welcoming families and members of the community to watch the presentation.
