High School
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
Application deadline: March 31, 2011
Eligibility:
- Be high school seniors or high school graduates who are first-time college students in the fall of 2011
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire 2011-12 academic year
- Plan to major in a course of study that focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Select Design, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and Business majors are also eligible. See the list of eligible majors. Scholarship recipients will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
- Be U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States

Tzu Chi Scholars 2011
Application Deadline: March 11, 2011
Eligibility:
1. Demonstrates financial need for college tuition
2. Is a U.S. high school graduating senior or equivalent
3. Has a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
4. Will enroll in an accredited U.S. college full-time for the entire
academic year 2011/2012
Description:
Tzu Chi Scholars is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and to assist outstanding college-bound high school graduates financially. Tzu Chi Scholars are selected on the basis of their financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. Each scholar will be awarded a total of $1,000.00.

CSA Scholarship for College-Bound Students
Application Deadline: April 29, 2011
This scholarship is open to all students graduating from a NYC Public School who will be attending any college, including community college, in the fall. The scholarship is intended for a student who shows leadership in school or outside school, who may have had to overcome hardships to reach graduation. The award is not based on the GPA or SAT scores of the student. CSA would like a student chosen who shows potential and academic promise.

Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge

The Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge gives students the opportunity, tools and inspiration to make a difference and become agents of change. Beginning August 31, 2010 through March 15, 2011, middle school student teams from across the country will be challenged to create sustainable, reproducible environmental improvements in their local communities.
