Regents Exams for high school students will take place
the week of January 26 to January 29.
If your child is taking a Regents exam, he or she will receive an exam invitation in school.
If your child is not taking any of the Regents exam, and is a high school student, he or she does not have school during Regents week.
There is also no school for ALL high school students on Friday, January 30 and Monday, February 2, 2015.
Middle school students will be in attendance during Regents Week.

Good Evening, This is the East West School of International Studies calling with an important reminder for Middle School parents. Tomorrow, Friday, January 16th is our Middle School Trip to St. Johns University. Students are to come to school with a bag lunch and snacks. All Middle School students will be dismissed upon return to school which is around 1:30 PM unless they are in the Hodori Program.

Now that the High School Application process has been completed, all we are left to do is wait with fingers crossed for the results in March.
A specific date for notification has not yet been set but the procedure is that I will be notified to pick up the Offer letters in March and then I will distribute them to your child.
If your child applied for a Specialized High School and their score made the cutoff, he/she will receive two offers. One for a Specialized High School and one for the non-Specialized High School. You and your child will pick one and return the letter to me so that I can either accept or decline one of the offers. If they only receive one offer, they should also return the letter notifying me whether they accept it, want to apply for the second round or appeal.
Schools which have considered your child's application and not made an offer, will not be available for the second round or appeal. I am hopeful that everyone gets their first choice.
