• November 16th (after the PTA meeting) is the 1st Principal Awards Ceremony of the 2019-2020 school year. Parents will be contacted this week if their child is selected.

    We encourage all parents to attend the PTA meeting with their children and celebrate this special event.

  • The next PTA meeting will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10 am.

    We have some exciting events planned, including Principal Awards Ceremony and Stop N Swap. Please bring in your gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, books and take home things that are "new" to you!

    Our coat drive and toy drive will also kick off at this meeting, and Apple Bank will be making a presentation.

    Finally, Breakfast will be served.

    What are blue cards and why are they important?

    • The blue card is used for emergency purposes and is mandated by the department of education.
    • Please note your child will not be able to participate in any after school activities including clubs and field trips until the blue cards are submitted.

    I never received blue cards. Where can I get them?
    If you have never received the blue cards, they can be picked up in the main office.

  • The October PTA Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10 AM.

    During this meeting, we will discuss activities for the 2019-2020 school year.

    Following the PTA meeting, we will have our first parent workshop of the year on “Education Fund” in English and Chinese. All EWSIS parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.

  • Friday, October 11th is our first “Tea with the Principal” of the year. Come and visit your child’s classes and observe what they are learning throughout the day. You are also invited to sit down and have tea or coffee with our Principal, Mr. Cromer at 9 AM in room 423.

  • All students will pick up their programs for the 2019-2020 school year in the auditorium on Wednesday, September 4.

    Metrocards will be distributed at the end of the school day in the Auditorium by school staff.

    The schedule for program pickup is as follows:

    East-West Program Pickup Times:
    Middle School (Grades 6 - 8): 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
    High School (Grades 9 - 12): 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

  • East-West extends a warm welcome back to all new and returning students for the 2019-2020 school year.

    The first day of school will be on September 5th, 2019. All middle school students and high school students will report to muster in the Auditorium at 8:00 AM.

    There will be no zero period classes on the first day of school.

    All students must wear their East-West school uniform on the first day. For incoming students without school uniforms, please bring your order receipt for confirmation.
