  • Virtual Graduation - June 22, 2020

    Hello parents, this is Principal Cromer, with an exciting announcement. On June, 22, 2020 at 4:00 pm sharp, we will be celebrating our first virtual Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2020. 

    This year has been so difficult for our students. They have endured four years of high school, a global pandemic with Covid-19, they had no prom, and no senior trip. Parents please make yourself available and help me support our seniors. 

    We have approximately 1,000 virtual graduation seats available so parents, please invite the whole family to join in and watch the ceremony. It will be fun, with a few surprises. You should receive an invitation shortly. 

    Once again, the date is June 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. for our FIRST Virtual Graduation Ceremony. See you there.

  • Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences: 5/18 - 5/22

    Our school will be holding Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences from Monday May 18th through Friday May 22. 

    Parent-Teacher Conferences are an important opportunity for families to meet with teachers to discuss your child’s progress, as well as ways to help them improve. Families will be able to book appointments with individual teachers on the day assigned to their child’s grade. Please listen carefully for your assigned date, grade and time. 

    Monday, May 18th grades 8 and 12 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Tuesday, May 19th grades 7 and 10 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Wednesday, May 20th grades 6 and 11 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am Thursday, May 21st grade 9 and make up conferences for grades 6 through 8 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Friday, May 22nd Make-up conferences – All grades from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm.

  • AP Parent Webinar - April 30th

    Elevate Education, an award-winning organization that has been delivering study skills training to thousands of AP students across NYC, will be hosting a free live webinar for parents and families this Thursday, April 30th at 7 PM.   • DOE Remote Learning Parent Survey

    Remote Learning Survey for Parents - Please complete by next week

    Good Morning, This is the East-West School of International Studies calling with an important message. The New York City Department of Education is asking that all parents and guardians complete the remote learning survey, by next week. The results will help the DOE make improvements to remote learning. All parents are encouraged to have their voices heard. The survey will be posted in all languages later this week on the DOE website. Any parent who would like to complete the survey in their home language, should check back on Thursday for the translated survey. Parents may also take the survey by calling 311.     Good evening, this is the East-West School of International Studies calling about an important announcement. All New York City schools will remain closed and will continue with remote learning through April 29, 2020. Spring vacation has been cancelled. Remote learning will continue each Monday through Friday until April 29. Thank you and have a great evening.

    Beginning Monday, April 6th all students are required by the Department of Education to start their day by signing into the Daily Attendance on Google Classroom.
