    The next PTA meeting will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 10 am.

    On the Agenda:

    • Election for members of the “Parent Advisory Council”

    “Paint & Sip” event

    • Following the meeting
    • Space is limited: Please call or email Parent Coordinator, Ms. Hu to reserve your seat.

    In the meantime, You can still bring in coats for the “Coat Drive” as well as toys for the “Toy Drive”.

    Tea with the Principal will be held at 9 am in Room 423
    Classroom Visits 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

    Dear East-West Family,

    You are invited to visit East-West and have tea with the principal. This will be an opportunity to speak to Mr. Cromer in person, communicate with other school staff, and hear about all the exciting things happening at our school. You will also have an opportunity to visit your child’s classrooms.

  • In-school Eye Exams - December 11

    We value our students’ eye care and are offering eyeglasses and eye exams on December 11th. Please fill out the form that was sent home with your student and return to Ms. Hu, our Parent Coordinator in room 423 by Friday, November 22, 2019 to make sure your child gets serviced.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences - Nov 21 + Nov 22

    The East-West School’s Parent-Teacher Conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 21st from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm and on Friday, November 22nd from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm.

    On Thursday, November 21st during parent-teacher conferences, Mr. Cromer will also be hosting a mandatory 8th grade meeting regarding high school applications to East-West. You must attend one of two sessions at either 5 pm or 6 pm in room 320. Uniform Company “Ideal” will be at school on Thursday only.

    On Friday, November 22nd students will have early dismissal at 11:14 am, and there will be no after-school programs.

  • Principal Awards Ceremony - November 16th

    November 16th (after the PTA meeting) is the 1st Principal Awards Ceremony of the 2019-2020 school year. Parents will be contacted this week if their child is selected.

    We encourage all parents to attend the PTA meeting with their children and celebrate this special event.

  • NYS Dream Act Event - 11/20/19 (Backpack Letter)

    Your child received an important letter from the Principal on Friday, November 8th, at school about a school event on November 20th.
    Please make sure to ask your child to show you the letter.

  • PTA Meeting - November 16th

    The next PTA meeting will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10 am.

    We have some exciting events planned, including Principal Awards Ceremony and Stop N Swap. Please bring in your gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, books and take home things that are "new" to you!

    Our coat drive and toy drive will also kick off at this meeting, and Apple Bank will be making a presentation.

    Finally, Breakfast will be served.

    Progress Reports were mailed home Monday, November 4, 2019

    Parents/Guardians - 

    • Progress Reports for your child were mailed home on November 4. This is not a report card. It shows your child's progress as of October 31, 2019.
    • You can view real-time updates of your child's progress by logging into Pupil Path.
    • Marking Period 2 ends November 27, 2019.
    • Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on November 21, 2019, from 4:30 PM- 7:30 PM and November 22, 2019, from 12:15 PM- 2:15 PM.

  • Picture Day - November 7th

    Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, November 7th

    • Flyers were sent home with students on October 17th
    • Dress Code: All students must be in their East-West uniform for their photo 
    • Payment: please bring order form and payment on November 7th

  • Blue Cards - Return by November 1

    Please return your child’s blue card by November 1st.

    What are blue cards and why are they important?

    • The blue card is used for emergency purposes and is mandated by the department of education.
    • Please note your child will not be able to participate in any after school activities including clubs and field trips until the blue cards are submitted.

    I never received blue cards. Where can I get them?
    If you have never received the blue cards, they can be picked up in the main office.

    Recently moved?
    Please provide two proofs of the new address in order to have your address to be changed.
