Good Evening,  This is the East-West School of International Studies, calling with an important reminder.  On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, all 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/SAT exam, as part of the New York City SAT school day initiative.  Please have your child arrive at school by 7:45 AM.  Students will stay in school for the full school day and be released at their regular dismissal time.  Thank you and have a pleasant evening.  If you have missed any portion of this message, please visit our website at www.ewsis.org.

Good evening this is the East-West school of International studies calling with an announcement.  Student Government will be organizing a school wide walk out day on Wednesday, March 14th. Participation of this movement encourages students to use their voice with issues such as the importance of mental health, the prevention of bullying, school safety, women’s rights and black lives matter.  This walk out will take place in the morning for 17 minutes during first period. Buenas tardes esta es la escuela de estudios internacionales Este-oeste llamar con un anuncio. El gobierno estudiantil estará organizando una escuela amplia caminar día miércoles, 14 de marzo. La participación de este movimiento anima a los estudiantes a usar su voz con temas como la importancia de la salud mental, la prevención de la intimidación, la seguridad de la escuela, los derechos de la mujer y el negro vive asunto. Good evening this is the East- West school of International Studies. As you know, our school shares it’s campus with IS237.  The IS237 staff was made aware of a threatening post on social media and informed the principals of both buildings.   The building response team was activated and the police were called to investigate this posting.  At this point there is no substance to the threat. However, we are taking the threat seriously in order to be safe. The threat is being investigated by deans, NYPD and counter terrorism.
