  • March Parent-Teacher Conference

    Good Evening, This is the East-West School of International Studies calling to inform you that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 8th from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Friday March 9th from 12:15– 2:15 p.m.  There will be a half day for students on Friday, March 9th.  Students will be dismissed at 11:14 a.m.  We look forward to seeing you during the conferences.   • Shelter-In 2018

    Good evening this is the East- West school of International Studies. As you know, our school shares it’s campus with IS237.  The IS237 staff was made aware of a threatening post on social media and informed the principals of both buildings.   The building response team was activated and the police were called to investigate this posting.  At this point there is no substance to the threat. However, we are taking the threat seriously in order to be safe. The threat is being investigated by deans, NYPD and counter terrorism.     Good evening, this is the East- West school of International studies calling with an exciting announcement.  First Friday will be held this Friday March 2nd. We welcome parent involvement and want to accommodate you. We are now hosting first Friday all day. You can come observe your child throughout the day from 8:00 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. Now you have the opportunity to see what your child is learning throughout the day.  We are hosting a special Black History Month assembly on Friday as well from 11:55 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.. There will be special performances from our middle and high school students.   • Lunar New Year Celebration

    Good evening, this is the East-West school of International studies calling with exciting news. The East-West Foreign Language Department invites you to join our 2018 Lunar New Year Celebration! Our celebration will be held on Thursday February 15, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Muster.  It includes a live Chinese Lion Dance, a Japanese Samurai Sword Fight, and a Traditional Korean Drumming Session. After Muster, the celebration will continue on the 4th floor with an East-West Lunar New Year Parade between 8:30 a.m. -8:50 a.m. We will have refreshments for our parents’ .Please join us in celebrating Lunar New Year.
